Project LAC Statement: Anniversary of the October 7th, 2023 Attacks

Today marks two years since Hamas brutally attacked Israel from the Gaza Strip, including specifically targeting innocent music festival attendees with a massive barrage of rockets and ground incursions.

This attack was the deadliest single-day attack on Jews since the Holocaust, with over 1,200 people killed (including 46 U.S. citizens in Israel) and 250+ abducted. To this day, over 48 hostages (living and deceased) remain in captivity, including two Americans.

We support the right of Israel and its democratically elected government to respond not just to these attacks, but to the powers behind them. Since October 7, 2023, Israel has dealt strategic defeats to Iranian proxies Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. The pro-Iran Assad government in Syria has collapsed. With support from President Trump and the U.S., Israel has exposed Iranian weakness and dealt a damaging blow to Iran’s nuclear program.

We support President Trump’s peace plan for Gaza. No progress or peace is possible until Hamas frees every living hostage and returns the remains of the hostages who lost their lives.

Project LAC remains committed to supporting Israel, American peace through strength and western civilization.
